MVS Commands Differentiations

   In Z/OS Commands are broadly classified /divided into six different categories. And in a given point of time system has the limitation of executing only 50 commands at a time. Remaining commands will be in wait state for execution.

To view the commands which are waiting for execution operator can use the following command

CMDS

Operator can able to remove the commands which are in waiting status.. the removed command will issue the message IEE065I in console with abend code 422.

Following are the list of command classes available in Z/OS
